How the Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser Works
Q-switched ND:YAG laser adopts advanced Q-switching technology. It is a high-energy pulsed laser that generates high-energy laser beams by utilizing the laser principle inside the laser material crystal. After the pigment particles of the tattoo pattern absorb huge laser energy, they are quickly broken and decomposed and metabolized out of the body without damaging the surface skin.
Q-switched ND:YAG laser can selectively output 1064nm and 532nm lasers as treatment light sources. Among them, 1064nm laser has a strong ability to penetrate skin tissue, and can reach melanocytes, black and blue tattoo pigment particles in the deep layer of the skin, which is suitable for removing dark tattoos; the energy of 532nm laser is limited to the surface layer of the skin, which is suitable for red tattoos, but the red tattoo pigment particles are larger and may require multiple treatments.

What are the precautions after treatment?
1. Postoperative skin redness, swelling, burning, punctate bleeding, etc. are normal treatment phenomena. Ice compress or ice hammer ice compress for 30 minutes is required to calm down, and antibiotic ointment (or human epidermal growth factor gel, moist burn ointment) is applied externally.
2. Keep the treated area dry and clean after surgery, and do not get it wet within 3 to 7 days to prevent infection. It is recommended to use medical repair masks, growth factors and other repair products.
3. Eat less spicy, irritating, seafood, tobacco and alcohol during the scab formation period
4. The scab can fall off by itself, do not forcibly peel it off.
5. After the scab falls off routinely, a small number of patients may experience temporary pigmentation, which can disappear by itself, generally taking 3-6 months or longer. To reduce and prevent such occurrences, oral vitamin C tablets, vitamin E capsules, and external skin care products containing whitening ingredients can be used.
